Monumental Irish Crystal Georgian Nine Light Chandelier, 19th Century
$137,500.00
Monumental 19th Century Irish Crystal Georgian Nine Light Chandelier. The Refined Anglo-Irish Chandelier has lead crystal stem-pieces comprised with shallow relief cut diamond nesting sections of shaped pieces and two graduated relief cut diamond-cross pattern spheres. The nine lead crystal candle arms emerge from a silver-plate receiver in three clusters of three arms with the middle up candle arm centered between two large S-Shaped elongated up candle arms. The nine hexagon crystal arms are faceted cut on four sides with elongated oval notches with the top and bottom sides being polished smooth. The crystal slip-over drip-pans / Bobeche have a flat geometric cutting and scalloped points pined for pendent prisms. The lower receiver bowl is cut shallow with rosettes and finished with flutes. The chandelier is crowned and finished with graduated reverse canopies, “Vandyck”, with scalloped edges whose points are drilled for pendent drop prisms. The bottom “Vandyck” is completed with a hallow-blown fluted crystal sphere finial. This Irish Luster Chandelier exhibits the elegance of the Rococo Tastes while being restrained.
