Medusa Rondanini and Eagle Mounted French Empire Bronze Gasolier / Chandelier

This Magnificent 19th century French Empire Eagle Mounted Bronze Gasolier / Chandelier has three Torch decorated lights with Greek Key Trump Shades. This Grand Imperial Chandelier / Gasolier has an elegant two tone Patinated Bronze and Ormolu finish in a Classical Design. The Corona is two-toned and crowned by six Gilt Leaves of which three are Anthemion and three are Fern. Below the Corona is the Patinated Bronze Gasolier pipe with Gilt Bronze Foliate Tulip Cups at the top and bottom of the pipe. The center of the Gasolier pipe has a Patinated Bronze Sphere with three Ormolu Classical Roman Medusa Rondanini Masks. The Chandelier has an enclosed bronze covered pan with Classical Ormolu Mounts. The circular Ormolu Mounted Patinated Bronze Band has three Argon Style decorated Torch lights. Each of the three lights feature a Greek Key Trumpet Shade which are mounted in between the Imperial Ormolu Eagles. The bottom is finished with a Grape Cluster Finial.

Rewired: Chandelier was covered to electricity in the early 20th century. We have rewired the chandelier with UL Listed porcelain sockets and wiring. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Minor fading. The Corona has six small pinning screws and three small screws between the Mask on the Sphere. The pinning screws where for nine prisms. I think the chandelier is elegant without the prisms and the screws are not noticeable when not used.
