Important Irish Georgian Carved Mahogany Granite Slab Console / Hall Table

This Important Monumental Regal Irish Georgian carved mahogany granite slab console / hall table was made in the early 19th Century. A most impressive Classical Form Freestanding Slab Table raised by Four solid mahogany legs supporting the original two inch granite slab top. The richly carved solid mahogany front scrolling imbricated legs are adorned with elegant Acanthus Leaves, Scrolls, Spurs, and Rosettes. The mahogany front legs are finished with a Spur just above the Scrolled Foot raised on Block Plinths. The Irish Slab Table has a mahogany frame that supports the granite with elegantly carved mahogany Scrolling Return Brackets on each end. The mahogany back legs are in the Classical Pillar Style with Block Plinths. The Granite Slab rest on a molded mahogany carved frame with recessed a block channel just below the Granite to show case the Slab.
